THINKING ABOUT A HEMI OR LS SWAP FOR YOUR JEEP WRANGLER?
CONSIDER TURBOCHARGING YOUR EXISTING ENGINE WITH A PRODIGY PERFORMANCE TURBO KIT INSTEAD.
6 REASONS TO GO TURBO
1) POWER

2) MONEY
As you know Jeep parts are NOT cheap and can add up rather quickly, especially in efforts of creating your dream Jeep. It’s a matter of time before you have a whole bunch of parts and accessories and not a whole lot of money. With that said we recommend investing in a high quality power adder such as our renown turbocharger system. Adding more parts is only going to decrease your Jeeps performance by adding more weight. Do it right the first time and invest your money in something that is going to keep your Jeep performing at it’s best.
Total money spent is barely comparable. The Prodigy turbo system is a whole lot less in regards to what you can expect to pay when considering a Jeep Hemi Conversion. Prodigy Performance offers our complete Turbo Kit for about $7,000. Figure $1,200 – $1,500 if you hire a professional to install your kit. Installing a Hemi or LS engine will set you back anywhere from $24,000 – $32,000. The price will fluctuate depending on how big of a motor you decide to go with. We offer a solution at a fraction of the price, not to mention the amount you will save on insurance by not having to insure a big V8 engine. Your rates WILL SOAR if you decide to go with the hemi.
With all the money you will save by installing our turbo kit you will be able to purchase all of those non essential parts that you know you want! Your wife will never know!
3) TIME
Time is a huge factor! Depending on your situation, if you’re using your Jeep as your daily driver you will be out of a vehicle for up to 21 days. Talk about inconvenient! So you will either need to borrow a vehicle or purchase a rental car which will easily cost you an additional $400-$700 in rental fees alone. Additionally, the time it takes to prepare and place your order for a Jeep hemi swap typically requires 1-2 weeks notice.
Whereas, our Prodigy Performance turbo kits are always in stock ready for same day shipping. Upon delivery owners may decide to proceed with the install themselves or hire a professional to get the installation done. Our kit is shipped and accompanied with a 50+ page manual as well as full video instructional series easily accessible via YouTube, to assist in the installation. On average, we recommend 10-12 hours for first time installations. We have reports of a father and son installing the kit in their driveway over the span of 1 weekend. Shops with experience installing our products can crank out the installation within 6-9 hours!
Time is money.

4) WEIGHT
A V-8 adds a lot of unnecessary extra weight to your Jeep. Weighing in at approximately 200 – 300 additional pounds to your stock Wrangler. Whereas, our Prodigy turbo kits add about 50 lbs overall. The turbo kit is much lighter and efficient when compared to the big V8 motor, all while producing MORE power. The overall additional weight added from the hemi will result in the need for increased stopping power. You may find your brakes to become a bit less responsive after the installation of the hemi. It would be advisable to sink an additional investment in your Jeeps brakes due to the additional weight accompanied by the Jeep hemi conversion.

5) MILEAGE
A Prodigy Turbo Kit actually improves your gas mileage. Turbocharged engines are more efficient due to the nature of the system. Turbo Jeeps utilize the vehicles exhausted gas to spin the turbine resulting in less work load from the engine itself when driven conservatively. Our customers see between 1-4 mpg increase after turbocharging their Jeep. As you can assume the V8 hemi’s are anything but economical. Diesel fuel in general is much more expensive and is not as sought after as it once was. Overall you not only lose significant miles per gallon but also have to deal with the additional expenses of “DEF” and the much more expensive cost of diesel fuel.
To get a better grasp of the type of mileage you can expect to get from our turbo system click on the image or link below. This video will demonstrate what you can expect in regards to fuel economy while sporting a Prodigy Performance Turbo Kit. Increased MPG despite the additional weight. TURBO TESTIMONIALS

My 2013 Wrangler is both a daily driver and an occasional off-road toy. It has been turbocharged for almost 3 years and 40,000 miles now. I started with the Prodigy Stage 1, then upgraded to the Stage 2 a few months later. The power is intoxicating and makes the Jeep all around more fun to drive. This isn’t just “more power”, “the amount of power a Jeep should have”, or “pretty fast for a Jeep.” This goes above and beyond into “ridiculously fast for a Jeep” territory and has a tendency to trigger involuntary smiles and laughter in both drivers and passenger when you open the throttle.

Is there any internal work that has to be done to the engine before installing a turbo?
We design our systems to be complete with nothing else needed. Internal engine work is not necessary just optional for the extreme guys.
I’m interested in a turbo charge kit for my 1999 jeep tj 4.o
Chris, We only make systems for JK, JL, JT, and now for the challenger/charger/300 lineup.
I have a stock 15 jkur with 85k miles. I’m a maintenance freak and the vehicle needs nothing. My question is would It be a mistake installing this power adder to a engine with this many miles? Thank you in advance for response.
This would be a great add-on to your JKUR. We regularly see customers installing our system on higher mileage vehicles. They work well especially when maintained regularly.
Do y’all recommend replacing the transmission, axles, drive shaft, etc to support the added power? I have an 08 with the 3.8. I have been considering an LS swap, which would include replacing all of those things. If I can go with one of your kits, and not have to drop all of that extra $, it’s a win win.
You will not have to replace these items, our system was designed to work with all factory components. This will be a Win Win for sure, more power than an LS and you get to keep a ton of money.
Would like to know more about the stage 2 system
I have a 2007 wrangler with the 3.8L. 4 speed automatic transmission. I bought it new in 07. it has 75,000 miles on it now. I have always used synthetic oil. is the 2 stage turbo a good choice for me?
William, if you are looking for more power than any v8 swap, any supercharger and reliability the stage 2 is the best choice for you! we have customers who have installed our system with over 180k miles on their engines. The 3.8L is a strong engine just way under powered.
What does this upgrade do for towing capacity – 2015 Wrangler JKU Willys w/3.73 gears ?
you will increase your Torque by over 100Ftlbs, which will increase your towing capacity.Because of the higher TQ not only will it tow or haul way better, it will do it easier. we have had customers contact us and had increase in fuel mileage towing wit our system. Turbochargers are the way to go for Torque which is what you need to Haul or tow.
Thanks, Mike! Exactly what I was hoping to hear. I’m looking for increased towing capacity (and towing at altitude), and at the easiest and most cost-effective method. Will definitely be looking into this more.
Thank you for your interest in the worlds best forced induction system on the market!
I own a 2017 jeep wrangler Rubicon unlimited and I installed a e force supercharger , 456 gears and the drive ability is still not there . The 3.6 liter just doesn’t have the torque. i spent all that money with custom tunes blowers and gears and i then i installed a 392 hemi and wow I finally got the jeep that I wanted. I come to the conclusion that there is no replacement for displacement !!!
Glenn, this is a great comment! proper gearing for the tire size is always key! in regards of adding power, the product you are referring to produces the least amount of power in this market. I am not sure how much the 392 ran you but I’m sure it was between $25,000-$35,000. If you are local I would love to invite you down to our shop for a dyno run with that 392! our JK stage 2 system is only $6,999.00 and will add 150+whp giving you 370whp & 340wtq. We typically see about 100hp loss through the drivetrain in these Jeeps. so with a fraction of the cost, with no cutting and all Jeep OE components we produce the same if not more power than the 392. We wish you would have contacted us earlier, we could have saved you a lot of money.
This is compatible with the 2020 jeep Gladiator Mojave I assume? I think it would probably do great with it. Have others put this on the JT models? If so, how do they review them afterwards?
Yes, we have a system for the Jeep Gladiator. they are in stock ready to ship! we have sold many Gladiator systems around the world. the reaction is the same as our JK. Very impressive to drive, power is more than expected, the power is controllable with your foot input.
Hey my name is billy have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler jk unlimited Sahara polar edition with 3.6 v6 I was thinking about a 5.7 dodge hemi engine and how would my vehicle get to you guys would I have to drive it down there I live in South Carolina??
